Meg's 105 v. Menzerna 106fa v. Adam's SWHR

I realize these products all have different purposes, but I wanted to do a comparison so everyone can see how these products work.

Meg's 105 used on left side (yellow uber pad), menzerna 106fa (super finish) middle (orange uber pad), Adam's Swirl and Haze Remover right side (orange uber pad). Every panel got one treatment, passing over each spot ~6 times with Flex 3401. Speeds were about 4.5 for the Megs 105, closer to 5-5.5 for the menzerna and SHR.

The lineup:

Before (the whole car was like this):

Megs (left) v. Menzerna (right), finished: Both excellent products. Megs 105 definitely cuts faster, especially with the yellow pad. It removed 95% of all scratches with one pass but also experience significant paint-pad transfer with my single-stage paint. Menzerna 106fa with orange pad really surprised me though, it has more cut than I expected (~85% of scratches removed completely with one pass) and finished unbelievably nice. 106fa will be my go-to one step product moving forward.

Megs 105 (left) menzerna 106fa (right), finished:

Megs 105 finished. Notice how nicely this product finishes even as a single-step with substantial cut.

Menzerna 106fa finished.

Menzerna 106fa (left) v. Adam's SHR (right). Notice there are still a few scratches on the Menzerna super finish side, but the color is a nice deep black. Middle section was taped and shows before. Right side is Adam's SHR, which still shows considerable scratching and cloudiness.

After seeing the results I did the whole car with Megs 105, orange pad, followed by Menzerna 106fa super finish, blue pad, and topped it all with two coats of Collinite 845. This car is a DD that sits outside 24/7.

Final results:

Nice job. Thanks for the review. Megs and Menzerna make brilliant polishes these days. No excuses for a bad job.

I was just thinking...what would the results be if you used a yellow pad with 106 as you did with 105. Why different pads?

I thought swirl and haze remover was the best compound according to Adams?

Does it work well, but require one more step for refinement is all?

Adams does recommend following this with another polish. I'll just let the pictures answer your other question. My understanding is that their swirl and haze remover does not contain any abrasives, at least according to the detailing video on their website. They now have a severe swirl and haze remover also, which I have not tried. All products were worked over their respective areas for the same amount of time. As you can see in the final shots, when I went back over the entire hood with M105 all of the swirls remaining after the initial test were gone.

As to pads - I have used the M105 with orange pad and 106fa with yellow pad before with good results. Here I just wanted to show one extreme (M105 + yellow) compared to something more moderate (106fa + orange.) Having M105 and 106fa in the bag with a variety of pads though gives a lot of options for different jobs.
