Megs 105-Megs 151 and Zaino

I can only answer the first third of your Qs:

Yeah, M105 *can* be used by hand; I just did it last week on some RIDS on the trunklid of my wife's A8.

M105 is amazing by hand. It will remove some serious stuff and leave the paint totally glossy.

D151 won't do very much by hand... but it is listed as an option. Just remember it has mild abrasives.

Not sure what Sal preaches these days, but I know in the past he talked a lot of starting with totally bare paint...so I don't know if he would want the D151 wax to be mixed with Zaino.

Well, I wouldn't go quite *that* far...I followed the M105 with 1Z High Gloss, and *that* left a nice enough gloss. The M105 didn't quite leave what I consider a ready-to-wax finish (this was on silver too).

As with most things it depends on the application. I have definitely had cases where M105 by hand left a finish completely LSP ready. Same token, I'm sure there will be times when it isn't quite LSP ready.

Yes M105 works great by hand I use it to get the scratches out around the door handles where I cant use my rotary or pc but you have to go back with a finer polish to get ready for lsp as accumulator said. I'm also sure you can use M151 by hand but wont be nearly as effective as when used by machine. Im not sure about the compatibility of the M105 and M151 with the zaino though someone else will chime in im sure.

If you use ZAIO, I don't think it matters what was used prior. I use it for my base every time I use anything Zaino, or even before wax when I use a wax.

but if you use ZAIO using 151 would be a bad choice because the

ZAIO would remove the wax
