Meg #80, #82 question with PC 7424

Hey guys, I am looking to get one of these two products, Meguiars #80 speed glaze, or Meguiars #82 swirl free polish. I want one that will buff to a fine finish ready for wax. I use a PC 7424 and know of people using #82 with it, but not #80, any suggestions or tips on how to use either of these would be great!

Since I use Meg's #9, I can't give you any first hand information on #80 or #82, but...
I can tell you that on Meguiar's abrasive scale of 0 to 10, the #80 ranks as a 4, and the #82 is a 3.
The Meg's #9 is also a 3.
As a point of reference, #83 DACP is a 6.

One thing that might influence your decision, the smallest container available when purchasing #80 and #82 is 32 oz. For swirl removal, 32 oz. will do a lot of cars. #9 can be purchased in a 16 oz. size and that lasts me for years. I usually end up replacing it long before it is used up because I worry that it may degrade over time.

#80 is good stuff and will leave your finish ready for wax. Apply it with a polish pad, it breaks down rather quickly so work it until it changes color (it will change to clear, sometimes pink), then buff off with a MF.

when i used #80 speed glaze for the first time, i was so impressed, on a black car it make it look super clear and wet. it also removed some minor defects and hazing. i have not used #82, but to my knowledge it is less abrasive, and does a bit more hiding. #80 acually has the power to remove slight defects and do some filling.

if you have a few bucks try them both! you can't go wrong!

i would recommend #80 with meguiars foam polishing pad.

i'm also looking to try some #82 in the future.

I used #82 last weekend and this is the results I got with a cutting pad. Each panel got two passes each. After that, I went straight to AIO and will SG this weekend. If you have anything to trade, I think I got some to spare.

1 coat of AIO.
