depending on the weather tomorow im gonna detail the ride to maybe brighten it up a lil:D....i picked up the MDC polish (step 2) a couple days ago and was planning on trying it out with my B&D buffer...so i searched to see if anyone has used it and their results but not much came up, so, anyone ever use this?....how was it?....any tips for a first time user of this product?:xyxthumbs

Heh heh, I like your user-name, as I am into both LT1's (in GM b-bodies) and squirrels (love those little critters).

Haven't used it in ages, but as I recall, the MDC#2 is sorta a low-oil version of #3/#5/#7/#81. Should work fine for you, but be sure to put some last step product ("LSP") over top of it. And don't expect the MDC#2 to remove any swirls, etc. as it's basically non-abrasive. Tips? Don't use too much, do a panel at a time to keep the job manageable, especially if something doesn't go right (unlikely, but you know...). Don't use a terry bonnet to apply (too coarse, might mar) and buff it off with a soft MF. Other than that, just follow the instructions on the bottle; Meg's is pretty good about glazes/"pure polishes" such as this as they've been making them forever.

Im a big fan of pImpala's also, simple yet amazing looking cars, my friend has one:bow....so i dawned the car, used a foam pad to apply the MDC buffed off with a bunch of MF's and topped it off with MGC applied by hand and rubbed off with more MF's...final review, the MDC is a waste of time and money IMO, it looks the same as it did if i just went from step 1 to 3....next time im gonna try a manlier polish, maybe something stolen from my brothers body shop:D

cliff notes: MDC=:down
