2013 McLaren MP4-12C. I did some cars for the owner about 18 months ago, this was not part of the collection at the time, plus his blue Ferrari 458 has been replaced with a red one. He splits time between here and LA, so he puts very few miles on his car, hence the length between calling me out to take care of his cars.

Cold start to the day even with a later than usual (at customer's request) 10:30 am start time, his driveway faces north and that where the wind was coming from. Really usual cold here so far. I've been sick of it since early November. Anyway, the car looked okay after washing:

But up close...

Basically, the whole top side of the back end was swirled up. And the paint is quite hard. And then I found out he needed to leave by 3 PM. And it was nearly 11:30 am.

Obviously not enough time for the full on correction it needed but enough to do two steps on the paint, seal it and wipe down the interior...barely. Finished about 5 minutes before 3 pm.

Hard to keep up with the moving sun, the owner's driveway is never in the full sun and by 1 pm or so, most of the car was fully in the shade. A few after shots of the polishing:

Not perfect, but a lot better.

Optimum Hyper Polish using an Optimum orange foam cutting pad and Rupes 21

Optimum Opti-Seal

Armor All on tires/wheel wells

Best I could do on the final shots with the car in the shade and background sunlit.

2013 AMG C63. I've been detailing cars for the owner and his wife since the mid 90s now. I've been mentioning Opti-Coat the last few years, he said when he got a car he thought was nice enough for it, he'd let me know. Well, he got a car he loves and plans to keep quite a while. Excellent shape, usually washes his cars himself by hand.

The owner opted for Opti-Coat 2.0 since I offer it at a lower price point, plus his car is garaged and maybe accumulates 5000 or so miles a year.

What a job that McLaren must have been... funky panels galore!  (How big are the discs of the brake system on that McLaren?  16"?  God, they are HUGE!)

Both cars look great.

Nice work guys! I've seen a few MPs in our area but have yet to lay hands on one yet, they look like fun! Gray on the Merc. pops with 2.0!
