A collector I do work for just picked this up. I have not seen one in better condition to date. It came delivered clean, but with the typical "I've been quick detailed to death" gloss and swirls. The interior was cleaned with 1Z Einszett cockpit and was very clean form the start.
Appears glossy and clean
Upon closer inspection...
I gave the car and ONR wash and followed with a mild clay and ONR as lube. There was not much stuck to this paint.
As this was single stage paint, one of my favorite to polish, i took out M105 and the Makita rotary and got to work.
After 1 pass of M105 and an Orange 6.5 Lake country flat pad:
The plastic on the taillights was hammered as you saw above. here is how they looked after a few passes with M105 followed with M205:
I followed M105 with the Porter Cable and a Black pad with some M205 where needed. This paint really cleaned up with M105 and various pad/pressure combos.
Paint was sealed with Blackfire Wet Diamond applied with the Porter Cable and a Blue Lake Country 5.5"
Im not big on stopping for photos, but here are the end results...
