on my mom truck, the grand am the corvette,my friend cavy,his dad malibu an my old tires on my cavy the tires were brown after a long winter so i tought about an household product to clean of my tires,I used HERTEL plus and it works great,you can see the brown grime comming off of the tires after like 10 seconds!

spray it on use a semi stiff sponge to rub the tire rinse it off really well, let dry and aply your favorite tire shine and voila a great looking "new tire"

BTW i dont know if its good to do but i figured it was since HERTEL is biodegradable!
 
I was having the same problem when ever I would apply dressing to my Tires it wouldn't last very long! After having a discussion with some people They were saying that different brands of tires hold dressing differently as well as turn brown differently! In theory it all has to do with the compound of rubber that it is!

In any event. Last weekend I had painted my Calipers on my car So while the wheels were off I figured I would give the wheels and tires a good through scrub down. Here is what I did and found it works EXCELENT!

Wet down the wheel and tire... Spray&Rinse (3/1 dilution) on the wheel allow to sit for 1-3 mins. On the Tire I used Poorboys APC (can't remember my dilution but very mild) allow to sit a litlte longer (I would apply to the tire the same time as applying Spray & Rinse to the wheel) Clean the wheel ... then the tire .. rinse off ... and then for wash with Car wash solution.

Applied another 2 coats of Poorboys Wheel Sealent! 1 week later there is still nothing on my wheels I think that dirt and grime fear my wheels! :rolling
