Matching Touch Up Paint

I have a spot on my car that I had to touch up the paint. It was a quickie job, so only one coat of black primer and one coat of dupli color red paint (toreador red for my car) Anyway, I have a dark patch there becuase, obviously the red car faded. What can I do to make it match my car alittle more? BTW it is a metallic paint incase that has an effect on it.
 
Not sure on what you can do but did you try polishing around that area to see if you can minimize it? Since the red paint faded you probably need a good polish. How old is the car?
