I recently heard about a lawsuit against Mark-V detailing products. Does anyone know about this? I use their products all the time.

Thanks,

John

The only suit I could find was the Automagic clay suit from 2001/2002. That's over, AFAIK. Did you see/hear something else?

I did a Google search and found nothing about it other than some really old stuff? Where are you getting your info from?

Mark-V aren't filing for bankruptcy, that's an old lawsuit. Back in 2001 Mark-V went to court challenging the clay patent held by Autowax. A lot of manufacturers disagreed with the patent, not just Mark-V, but they were one of the first to take it to court. When the patent was upheld Autowax tried to sue for damages, and the owner of Autowax put out that Mark-V was going bankrupt because of all the money they'd have to pay him. This never happened and Mark-V continue to manufacture a full line of detailing supplies, car wash tunnel supplies and additives (like Fuel Injector Cleaner).

They have a huge blending facility in Corona, California and sell in volumes from 1 quart to 55 gallon drums.

David Miller, the former owner of AutoWax, is however no longer involved in the business.

i was just going to mention that, it's about 15 minutes away from me...

Ooh, that's a relief. I do buy a lot of their products in the 55's. I was talking to my distributor and he said that was old news that I heard, and it was over a clay bar. Thanks for the input everyone.
