I wonder if there is really any way to tell if the spray soap at the "do it yourself" is safe?? I use them all of the time, inbetween hand washes, but it's always in the back of my head.:nixweiss
I guess it depends on how you define "safe". I receive an industry trade mag and when they talk about soaps they focus on suds/foam, color, fragrance, things like that. Depending on the supplier the DIY soaps can be pretty harsh or mild. That's why it's always a good idea to stick with a well-known product - you never know what's coming out of that spray nozzle.
I use it in the cold months when it is too cold to do it at home (water freezing). I presume that most of them do use hrsh soap (but I think it is harsh in the sense that it will affect your wax not necessarily hurt your paint).
