I'm typing this from a computer in the Harley Davidson customer center. This place is sweet! You get free sodas, popcorn, pool table, internet access (hence this post :D).

At any rate, you might have guessed it, but I bought me a jar of s100 :D. Cost? $8.95 baby! I also bought me a can of the Total Cycle corrosion protectant at $9.95.

Now time for me to go for a test drive.......j/k ;).

But before I go, I'm gonna grab some popcorn. Later!

Do they have Simichrome??? I heard its a really good metal polish. I am thinking of picking some up to polish the wheels on my show car.

Honestly, I don't remember everything they had. The only thing I have good memory of is the s100 total cycle wash, which I though would equate to the P21s All purpose cleaner (like the kind they use to clean the engine bay). Can anyone verify this for me?

Better grab a couple more jars of S100. I have to pay $14.95 at my local Harley dealer...Andrew

Well, once I see the results of this first jar, if I like it then I will be an S100 convert and will buy they're entire shelf. But whether it's $8.95 or $14.95, it sure beats paying over $20 from CMA.

Most Harley Dealers are "sweet". If you have a Harley, the dealerships are a great places to "hang out". They also take good care of folks. I have had breakdowns on both of my bikes while I was in the middle of nowhere -- Colorado and Wyoming. In both cases, the local (nearest) Harley dealer worked me into his schedule and I was on the road again in 3 or 4 hours. Try that with a "cage".

By the way, I have used S100 exclusively on both of my bikes for a long, long time. It imparts a great swirl free shine, but I'm not sure of it's durability. I usually use it after every second or third ride. The swirls come back pretty fast and yes, they were polished out before the original application of S100. I apply polish frequently before the S100, but not always.

I'll keep using the S100 on my bikes, but I'll pass on applying it to my BIG black Ram. Life is too short for that job.

Tom

Well I've still got about 3/4 of a bottle of #26. I can attest to it's durability--in fact, I'm in the midst of applying a second coat.

But I wanted to get the S100 to try on my sister's red Prelude. If it works out well, then great. I can also use it as a topper to #26.

All I know is that s100 has gotten many raves on this site, so I thought I'd give it a try. And heck, it was only $9! Can't beat that!

Also, the TC corrosion protectant is a very interesting product. I'm thinking of so many ways to use that spray. :D

Pats, I get my simichrome at local "import bike" shops.. If I can say that? :) any hooo:D I use to get it at my old job for less than cost but now I have to pay full cost for it, I love it :) May look on ebay as well...

yeah I think I saw simichrome at the local honda bike shop when I was there with my neighbor getting his rig out of the shop.... may have to pay them a visit again and check.

yeah our local harley dealer has a big screen in the back always going... but in order to watch it you have to wheel over a bike from in the showroom area to sit on... heh...

Can I ask you S100/P21s experts a question? I was looking for an equivalent of the P21s total auto wash like the one in the following link:

http://www.p21s.com/products/bis_taw.html

There was one at the Harley dealer called S100 Total Cycle wash that had the same shaped bottle as the one above. Are those two chemicals exactly identical? And is it any good for cleaning engines? What other uses are there for it?

Thanks.

I use S100 Total Cycle Wash only on my Harley's engine and transmission. If it will remove everything that it says it will -- road grime, grease, etc. -- what will it do to the wax on my gas tank and fenders?

Tom

Considering that I am planning to do a full detail on the Maxima, that includes polishing the tips on my tailpipes. Will simichrome be effective?

Prinz...

I have heard good things about it. It was actually recommended to me by HRE the manufacturer of my wheels.

I am not sure if any other forum members have tried it. I am interested in hearing their reviews of it though.
