Making a new menu and any input would be great!

Hey guys...

I'm going to be putting some Zaino on my parents' cars pretty soon (excellent opportunity to try the system before I decide to switch from Klasse on my car). I've got some P21S Total Auto Wash, and I was considering using it for that first wash...to get the paint really good and clean before claying. Since I'm going to have to wash it twice, I figured I would wash with Dawn the second time and then Z1/Z5.

I'm just concerned that it may be a little too harsh, or may not sud up enough and offer enough protection to be used as a proper car wash. What do you guys think? I've never used the stuff, by the way, just got it to get rid of some bug guts on my car that are NOT coming off so far.

By the way, have any of you guys tried the "Safe Scrub Bug & Tar Sponge" from CMA? I've got one, but it feels pretty rough, so I'm a little scared to use it before I hear first hand that it's safe.

One of these cars is an Explorer, so I'm not looking forward to it. But it's in pretty good shape, but hasn't been all that well protected. It's got some swirls and stuff, so I'm really looking forward to seeing what Z can do. The paint is light blue, by the way, so I think the results will be really nice. The other is a burgundy Mazda 626 that could really really use some protection. :)

Any input or recommendations is appreciated!

Thanks,

Gary

If your concern is to lack of suds, wash with dawn first then the P21S. I'm not familiar with the Z line but if the Z has a prewax use that instead of Dawn.

As for the sponge, test it on a small spot on your car first.

If you like you can see if it scratches a CD, if it doesn't then you're golden, if it scratches it a little, probably okay, if it scratches it a lot, then you can only test it on your car cause a CD is softer then a clear anyways.

Nice to see a B5er here; you're here about as many times as I am at ClubB5.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Well first off I'm new to TID and just getting back into detailing. I used to to do mobile detailing with a fixed location as well. I recently owned a full service car wash with a higher end detail shop not one of those mass production shops that take the customers money and runs! I'm trying to make a menu that is as simple as possible for my new clients I just relocated to Scottsdale and I'm starting a mobile detailing company. Here is my Sample Menu its way simpler then any of my past ones I have had but want this to be as easy as possible for customer to choose there service.

#1 - Hand wash, wheels carefully cleaned, vacuumed, door jams dried, windows in and out; wipe dash and doors, tires dressed,

#2 -Includes all of #1 plus carnauba paste wax

#3-Includes all of our #1 and #2 plus complete interior detail, and clay bar

#4-Includes our #1 a complete interior detail, and a paint correction program that fits your vehicles needs. - Paint correction is billed out hourly and estimates our given prior to starting work.

Obviously I will have a section on my menu the describes all products and procedures that are taken to complete the work and all the safety pro cautions steps the company takes to insure quality of work like deionized water and all are washing methods ext...

Thanks for any input you guys have good or bad I would love to know.

Engine detail, glass polishing.

It's early and I'm not thinking too well yet, I'll think of more soon.

I forgot to mention that I will have an al la cate menu that will have all extra services. I was just working on basic menu. I just want a couple simple packages that clients can easily choose from and was seeing if you guys thought they were to simple.

I have noticed a couple of things since I have been exploring custom graphics and striping.
There are sum shops that are in to Detailing as well, that do the above mentioned. There are people(customers ) that are looking for the "no wax concept" that dont know the difference between co- polymers and waxes.
It would seem that the term no wax paint sealant would sell itself.
I would post a link that shows my point, but I know that is a no no here and I dont want to get busted.

Is this for a website or a flier.....

Looks like you guys have about everything covered as far as the basics.I beleive simpilar is better in most instances. Truth of the matter is ppl don't like to have to think alot :o

Good Luck on your new endeavor and welcome to the site. Hope to see you around :partaaay:

Thanks everyone!! I just wanted to see if it was to blah, but I love simple. I know when my customers in the past had to much to pick from they would just end up buying the cheapest thing on the menu and and moving on with life. I just wanted to get a feel for what you guys thought on the simplicity of the menu sounds like I should perfect it now and move on to design and names of packages.

Also I plan on using this on both fliers and website but I will have everything professionally designed. I'll let the pros do there magic!!
