Major detailing project this week...

A friend is loaning me his Porter Cable 7424 this week so I can do my truck. Its a white '99 Lightning. I didn't think that swirls would be a problem on white but when I have it parked in certian light I can see that it has the hell swirled out of it. The polisher my friend loaned me has a white pad and a yellow pad. He also gave me a bottle of 3M Swirl Mark Remover. Can anyone give me some simple directions as to which pad I use for what?

He gave me some of the multi colored stuff called 'ABC' too. He has them labled 'A', 'B', and 'C' but he neglected to give me dilution ratios. I've read about ABC on this board but I haven't been able to find the dilution ratios. My friend left on vacation yesterday and I didn't get a chance to ask him. Can anyone help me with this? My plans are to do this ABC thing and then polish out the swirls. I have Klasse so I was going to put a couple laters of that on top. Should be nice looking! Thanks for your help in advance!

The ABC system is a paint neutralization system made by Auto International. For the chemicals to be effective the car MUST be in the shade and the skin temprature of the car be between 60 and 80 degrees.

Here is a link to AutoInt's site that will give you proper mix ratios, dwell times, and other usefull information. http://www.autoint.com/ferrous_metal removal.htm
