maintaining a WG finish

I have to take my car to have its new suspension fitted tonight.

Fingers crossed the weather stays reasonably dry as I've just put 4 layers of WG on it.

I have most of the usual shampo suspects but has anyone had particularly good results with a single soap on a WG prepped car?

Likewise, if it picks up a few swirls etc whilst at the workshop should I go with the WG swirl remover or is there another alternative, given that WG's a water based sealant

Or perhaps I should drive it, enjoy it and worry about dirt when it actually gets dirty....:D

Sonax seems quite gentle or still my overall favourite Dr.Wacks shampoo.

I say drive your car and then worry about it :xyxthumbs

I've had great results with Gold Class, NXT, Kit Carnauba Wash and QEW.

If you don't have the WG QD, the Clearkote's Quikshine works well.

I've been using WG as my go-to sealant on black lately and use Sonus Acrylic Spritz for QD and Sonus Acrylic Glanz for a kind of *booster wax* which is a little stronger than the Spritz.

WG and BF are both oil in water products that work best on dark colors-IMO there are only so many "wax" manufacturers so chances are they are either made by the same manufacturer who private labels them or they just have very similar chemistry

Just wash with your favorite shampoo, and QD with Wolfgang Instant Detail Spritz. This should keep the finish glossy and slick for quite awhile...

As for WG and Blackfire being the same, well....

Blackfire was out before Wolfgang. Yes, they are both water-based, but Blackfire is more oily than WG. I've also found Wolfgang to give a deeper, wetter shine than Blackfire.

4 layers ain't much. I have at least that many on my glass, except it's klasse, four star and wolfgang
