washed the car here at work ( dealer ) and then used the leaf blower to dry. the car sat for about an hour or so and then i dusted with the california duster. then applied some wolfgang. i do know if it was too chilly near the door or what, but when i removed it, it smeared. i left it on for about an hour.

now i washed the car and used some qd and now i have smears and ugly looking markings all over the car.

i think menzerna IP and a white pad is in order, but it is too damn cold now.

i am disgusted, since i had the finish near perfect :(

well if the finish was near perfect, it will be easy to restore. it doesn't look like you messed it up too bad.

I have used Wolfgang at 40 F without problems .. you sure you just didn't get it on too thick .. Try re-applying it to one fender really thin and see what happens.

I sure don't think there is any need for IP. Just try washing again and dry with a waffle weave.

Maybe even put a little WG on a finishing pad and buff it in with the PC. This will remove the old buildup and at the same time lay down a nice even thin layer. I am thinking the same as everyone else on this one, you maybe put it on a little too thick.

yeah, maybe some FP then and some WG on a finishing pad

we'll see how the weather goes :xyxthumbs

I think your throwing in an unnecessary step .. Just try the WG by hand or on a finishing pad on one panel first. The more unnecessary things you do the more your asking for trouble.
