M105 w/PC?

I know this is more designed for rotary use, but can you still get good results with a PC? I was planning on a mix of M105 and OC per the suggestion of Scottwax...

Thanks in advance.

I think the question was more about whether M105 would work with a PC. I was kinda wondering the same thing, though I think I read a thread that gave me an answer, but I forgot! Short attention span!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that Scottwax said M105 works well with a PC... If it wasn't Scott, it was someone just as well respected around these parts.

Its been said to work good by a handful of reputable guys on MOL. However Meguiar's won't support it for obvious reasons.

Yes it does work good.

Just keep the pad size down below 6inch to increase the cutting abilities of the PC.

The foamed wool pads have a lot of cut and would be a good start. They come in 5inch which would be unreal but i cannot find any online :(

I tried it on the pc with 4" orange pads, and 4" green pads. To me it seemed like it caused random orbital marring on the paint and did not finish down at all. If your paint problems are so severe you need to use m105, why would a porter cable even be an option? I have used the m105 with my rotary and have gotten reults that are almost lsp ready.

M105 with a 4inch pad would no doubt cause marring on soft paint. Any strong compound would create marring. You just have to follow it up with a softer polish and your good to go.

Why would a porter cable be an option? Well some people have deep swirls and light scratches and need a way to remove them. If M105 allows their PC to remove the imperfections then they are better off regardless if they have to follow it up with their normal polish to remove the marring.

If I'm using Z-PC and its taking out 95%+ of the defects and I come across a stubborn spot, rather than change my pad, polish, and even machine, I add a dab of 105 along with some Z-PC...works great. Run it at 6 with very slow passes.
