Morning everyone from Los Angeles, California.

I just finished eating french toast and now I am listening to this song and dang, so violent. Hey Jingerbreadman you have kids right? If yes, I highly advice them not too listen to this music because I don't want this music to mess with their heads.

I found out the chorus of this music and now I understand why they substitute it with BAN BANG BANB BANG KKAAAAAA CHING. The chorus of this music goes like this:

"All I wanna do is (BANG BANG BANG BANG!)
And (KKKAAAA CHING!)
And take your money"

I read the comments on the music video on youtube and it really goes like this:

"All I wanna do is stick you up for your paper
And slit your throat
And take your money".

Here is the lyrics link to this song: M.I.A. - Paper Planes Lyrics

I know this song promotes extreme violence and drugs but I must admit, I like the beat and rhythm. I know, ugh yeah...........suprise someone hasn't filed legal action yet against this song. Back in the 90s when like gangster rap was big and snoop dogg and them was producing songs left and right, people took legal action due to the violent lyrics of the song.

Maybe you should starting listening to some Benny Goodman or Three Dog Night...no one is getting killed, robbed or hurt in their music!

funny beemerboy though I listen to all kinds of music from rock, slow jams, hip-hop, jazz, all the way through metal and screamo music sometimes.

funny enough beemerboy. i listen to all kinds of music lol.

I do to...but this gangster style of music IMO has no place...its talking of violence and a life style of that...I know there are plenty of places where this is a way of life, but we don't need to glamorize it in song!

That's just my .02

I agree beemerboy I live in the city where there is peace and violence at the same time..........Los Angeles. Violence sections = Compton, South Central, and Watts. Peaceful sections = Beverly Hills, Miracle Mile + Larchmont, Hollywood Hills, Sherman Oaks, Encino, and Tarzana.

I was actually around the larchmont area last night and stupid me, I was driving my 2004 Acura TSX when I sudden came across a Ferrari 348TS on a stop light and decided to race. When the light turned green we both went off and of course the 348ts wins but the guy waves no to me on his rear view mirror. didn't see a 348ts in a while and it was a nice car for sure and I love the sound from the exhaust.

I'm well aware of those areas..good friend was captain of the Fire Department in Watts years back...I heard plenty of stories from him about gang bangers.

This country has a freedom of expression, but the gangter style of music should be censored at some level..it promotes the wrong thing

Yeah beemerboy gang bangers I dislike too..........play a role in corrupting the society. As for watts I wouldn't walk there during the day and specially at night. I actually spoke to a person who is from there about a month ago and he said by looking at me and the way I dress, gangs would take precaution if I go there they would notice I am not from around there, and I they will think I am a cop or a NARC.

Since your in Sonoma Beemerboy you should come down to LA sometimes and stay around my area, hollywood and west LA, the peaceful sides. The women beemerboy........the women....the women. This is for you:

Hey, guys. I saw this thread and thought I would add my two cents. I am glad that we live in America. We have many freedoms and rights that other countries would literally die for. With that said, that music is violent in its content but is protected by the constitution. What I would suggest is that people put pressure on Radio stations so maybe they won't play that stuff. But my guess is that the majority of the listening public wouldn't want that stuff to disappear.

I actually grew up listening to gangster rap. The difference was that my parents raised me to be strong enought and 'smart' enought to understand that what I listened to had no bearing on my real life. In other words, they were/are just words. But I do realize that the way societal families function, I can't expect people to take it the way I took it. :hmmm:

To this day, I still like to play a some Eazy-E, NWA, and the like. Just know that not all people who actually listen to this kind of music go out and do what they say. :D

These people need to be put to death, plain and simple. Everyone in this country thinks they have 100% Freedom of Speech. They are wrong. You think you can say anything you want anytime you want? Threaten the President verbally just once. We'll see how far the rights you think you have go.
