2012 Lexus LS460. Owned by a former regular customer who works with a couple of other regulars at a doctor's office. Used to take care of his SC400 pretty regularly but a former partner in another medical office showed up 1 day and chased him (the SC400 owner) around the parking lot and through the office with a gun, shooting at him. Good thing his former partner wasn't a good shot and never hit him. But after that incident, they really tightened security at the medical office so we really didn't run into each other anymore and he stopped getting his car done. Fast forward about 10-12 years and I'm still taking care of two other doctors cars when I notice his formerly swirl free Lexus now has swirls all over it. Left a business card on his car and let him know I could take them out. Last time I was cleaning the other two cars I've been taking care of there, he came out and said he wanted to make an appointment to have the swirls removed. I asked if he knew how they got there in the first place and he said last time he took it in for servicing, they "detailed" it for free.

Of course, high clouds rolled in, hard to get shots with good sun, as soon as my camera would focus, back to hazy sun so its hard to see in the afters just how nice it turned out.

2009 BMW 328. Owner's biggest concern was how rough the paint felt, like it had sand on it. Otherwise, it was in decent shape for a 5 year old car.

2002 Toyota Solara, top half had been repainted after a pretty nasty hail storm a couple years ago. Other than some nasty swirls on the trunk lid, the paint looked pretty good.

1968 Ford Mustang. Regular customer, probably going back more than a decade now, he's had some interesting cars in the past, including a '66 Chevelle. He recently picked up this Mustang as a weekend toy and occasional daily driver. 302, C4 automatic, power disc brakes, a/c. Paint definitely is not perfect, looks like some dirt under the clear on the roof, overzealous wetsanding and buffing on the edges of the hood and cowl, odd run in one of the C pillars and some issues with the trim around the grill. For those reasons, he wasn't looking for a correction, but just some polishing to deepen the shine and protection for the winter. He's still doing some interior work on the car and wants to make sure it will be reasonably reliable before he considers having it repainted properly.

Crazy story about the first client, Jesus. The LS460 looks amazing in those after shots, gotta love HD Polish! That's the first time I've ever heard of someone mixing clay bars, good idea & nice work all around.

Normally I'd have used Opti-Clay black but its on the tacky side and with a black car in the sun, it would have stuck too much to the paint. Had to improvise.

That Lexus came out great. Did you do the correction in the office parking lot?

Yep, right there in the parking lot.

Great work as always.  Lexus story is nuts

Thanks! Agree about the Lexus owner, it was just nuts when it happened. Since then, no more going in the back door to return the keys (where I'd run into him returning other keys), now everything goes through the front desk.
