Last week I had the opportunity to try out a few products from a line we recently stated carrying, LOWRIDER ULTIMATE CAR CARE.
Here's my take on Lowrider Detailing's All Purpose Cleaner & High Gloss Tire Gel.
Tire before was used as a test platform for solvent-based dressing which looked good for about a month before causing some serious browning.
We started carrying Lowrider Detailing a few months ago and this seemed like a great opportunity to put a few of their products to the test and seeing how they worked out against these ugly tires.
Here is a close-up before shot showing just how bad it looked.
After one go around with the cleaner and a tire sponge it was apparent that it would take several rounds to fully clean these tires.
Back to scrubbing.
Starting to look a little better.
White suds instead of brown is always an indication that you are almost done
After 4 rounds with the cleaner (these tires were extremely dirty).
I had some compound residue on a few spots of trim from the last time I detailed and got rained before I had a chance to clean the trim.
The APC took care of it without a problem.
I attempted to apply with the Carrand Tire Dressing Brush, hoping that the bristles would easily cover the tiny lines all over the tire but after 1/2 the tire I switched over to a regular microfiber applicator.
The end result - 10000x better than before.
Overall I was very happy with the results from these products, the APC did a great job considering the grime and dirt in the tires.
The High-Gloss Tire Gel gave the tires a ridiculous amount of shine and if you're into high-gloss I would say that it would be a great product for you.
