Lowes' "Grout Sponge" (Who Makes It?)

Yes, the fluffy side is better at pulling in dirt away from the paint. It's also softer for final polishing.

We are getting the house ready for the holidays and I was cleaning the slate floor in the kitchen/hall and bathrooms. I am literally on my hands and knees scrubbing away and this got me to thinking about these grout sponges I have heard so much about.

Any body know there brand name?

I'm not sure they will make the job much easier, but at least it will get me out of the house for an hour or 3

Q.E.P. Co. Inc. out of Boca Raton is the importer, the package indicates made in Greece. I picked up one this afternoon for $1.97. They had packages of 6 for $10. The package lists qep.com as a website. Haven't tried it yet.

It's sold under the brandname "Proline." What I don't know is whether the Proline products are made exclusively for Lowes or also sold at other stores.

I just remembered that I had an unopened Lowe's grout sponge in my garage. The Proline sponge is distributed/sold by Intex DIY.

The Q.E.P. sponge, btw, is sold at Home Depot and is different from the Proline sponge. I strongly prefer the Lowe's sponge.

My bad, I did get this sponge at Home Depot... I'll have to get one at Lowes and compare...

I've tried them both. The Home Depot sponge is denser and harder, whereas the Lowes sponge is softer and has larger cavities (is that the right word?). I feel safer using the Lowes sponge.
