lowering my 07 camry

I was thinking about getting the trd springs to lower my car, but I will be having a 175-200 pound sound system in the trunk. I know this will make the rear sag so does anybody have a solution to this?

does this look crappy?

trd springs

I'm not one to lower a car but there's no reason to crap on somebody that wants to do so. Using TRD products is a wise choice if you decide to do it. Better handling should come about as a result......along with a few chin scrapes.

The TRD drop actually looks decent... gets rid of excess wheel gap. TRD springs normally don't lower the car enough to cause scraping, unless you go for a bodykit... which would be strange on a Camry unless it was a factory option.

The second picture is a bit too "slammed" IMHO, though. Wheel gap should equal (or be slightly less) than the thickness of the tire. Anything more or less looks wrong (unless we're talking about a vehicle like a truck or such).

Looks are subjective. If you like that "my car has 6 large people stuffed in it look", go for it. Personally, I like to see the top of the tire in the well just a bit like atticdog's pic. I thought krouchchocolate's pic had gone too low, but hey, you only have yourself to please.

I wouldn't do it on a camry, but if you do decide to do it go for the look found in the second picture. The first one looks bad.

I think the new Camry's don't have the family sedan look anymore especially the SE's so I might consider dropping it alittle using trd springs, if the ride quality doesnt suffer much

Interesting choice of words, in light of the question that he asked (you'll notice I never described it with the same diction)!:nervous:

LOL, I don't see what the big deal is? If I had an 07 Camry SE, it would be dropped on TRD springs or an eibach pro kit--huge rollers to boot. I guess I am just a silly juvenile as well. :D

BTW, both pics look hot to me. :nixweiss

I lowered my 96 camry, looks good and handles way better than before. Just make sure you get better shocks too, as the stock shocks cannot handle the increased spring rate.
