Low Pressure Waterless systems

Can someone explain what the advantage is of using one of these systems over something like a chemical sprayer like you can get at the home improvement stores?

Examples of the systems

I've looked at all of them and I like the CG unit the best but instill don't see what the advantage is especially for the price.

My guess is the ability to spray 3 gallons of fluid at 100+psi for an extended period of time without pumping.

pricey but may be a good option if you want to go mobile detailing without a heavy water tank and pump assembly. i like the cg unit a lot, but since i don't do too many mobile details , i'll have to go with my rinseless and two blackfire 5 gal buckets w/lids for any occaisional mobile details.

I guess I'll have to see how things go. Right now I plan to do the same thing you're doing but something like this might be nice if I end up doing a lot of jobs with limited access to water. I guess it's about convenience and quickness. Some of the videos I've seen seem like they help speed up the process.

I can definitely see how these units could make a mobile ONR wash quicker and cleaner to do.

To start with before investing the money though I would start with a variation of the GarryDean wash method.

- One 5 gallon bucket of ONR wash preloaded with towels soaking in the solution.
- Pre-spray panels with a misting pump sprayer to help in breaking down the dirt.
- Use 1 towel and flip it as needed. Towel never goes back into the wash solution. It gets put in the dirty bucket and a new towel is used.

I have used this method a few times and I easily got 3 cars washed from 2 gallons of ONR wash and a gallon of misting presoak.

I taught Garry that method. Just kidding.

I've seen his video and it looks like a great way to do it. I've talked to him about it a little too. Garry's always been helpful and offered tips when we have talked. I havent tried it yet but I might do it this weekend on my truck.

I use a variation of this during the winter. 2 gallons of ONR with distiled warer in a 5 gallon bucket. I use Euro shag MF. I also take a pump up sprayer and pre spray 2 panels. Dunk and soak a euro shag wash first pre sprayed panel and then take a poorboys dot and dry panel. Wring out dirty euro shag on ground and place into another empty 5 gallon gucket Spray panel number 3 and take fresh Euroshag and wash panel number 2. Buy the end of the wash I have used 15-20 euro shags and 10-15 dots. It works for me in the winter but I prefer a traditional wet wash when the weather permits.
