Looks like I'm gonna be in debt again!

Long story short: I took my '03 Mazda6 to the dealer for a faulty door handle and a few TSBs and got bitten by the new car bug. Looks like I'll be picking up a new '06 6i (4cyl) Grand Sport in Glacier Silver with black leather interior/moonroof/bose/Sport Package/17" wheels. I had built a car to my specs on Mazda's website and the inventory showed my local dealer had one. Went out there and couldn't find it. It was a new allocation that had not even been delivered yet. It matched my specs exactly! After haggling and dealing for several hours, I had all but put down a deposit/down payment. If the car shows up tomorrow, I'll be there to check it out. This is a fresh from the factory, still wrapped up, virgin car :D and the only one like it within 300 miles of me. I think it was a match made in Heaven. Wish me luck.

It will look exactly like this, except with 17" wheels:

Haven't decided what my detailing process will be just yet. I may use Prime/AJ. Any suggestions. This isn't a overly bright machine silver like on some cars. There is a little flake but it's really subtle.

Well, the car has landed! The salesman did as he promised and called me the minute it showed up on the carrier. As per my request, the service department left all the plastic on the exterior and interior of the car, right down to the film over the radio LCD. It has a mere 3 miles on it and is awaiting my arrival tomorrow morning. It's about as perfect as a new car delivery can get.

A few cell phone pics i took today:

Well, she's home safe and sound. Picked it up first thing this morning! The sales guy said he had never had anyone request to leave the plastic on the car, but he was more than happy to oblige. The car was perfect except for a little rust dribble on the hood. It should come right off after clay/polish. Can't wait to give it a full detail.

If I weren't paying off my '03 6s next month I might be super inclined to trade. It looks like they got rid of the ashtray and cupholder cover as well as the solid center stack panel. If my next car weren't the new retractable hardtop Miata in a couple years, the new 6 would be next for sure. Good luck and congrats. I don't think you could have done better.
