Looking for suggestions....

I know it's been asked 100 times before, but I own a black 2003 Pontiac Bonneville, and I'm wondering if anyone with experience on this paint has suggestions on an lsp to try. I currently have Nattys Blue, Collinite 845 and Poorboys EXP. I love the Collinite for winter protection, so I'm really just looking for a new option for the warmer months. Honestly the Nattys Blue didn't impress me. I don't know if I just don't see the difference, or if it just doesn't work with my car. I really didn't see any difference in look than the Collinite.

I will throw out one more thing to see if anyone has experienced this that would really help me out. You see, this black is actually brown. I don't know how common it is, but a body shop confirmed to me that many of the GM blacks actually come out as a very dark brown. It looks black in the shade and even in the sun, but if you get in the right spot where the full sun is hitting the panel, you can see it actually has a brown tint to it. So if anyone has experienced this and could point me to a product that they have found helps it look more black (if that's possible), that would be awesome.

What kind of money are you looking to spend? And how often will you be rewaxing ? And keep in mind this is going to be very subjective depending on who you ask...

First rule for a Black car is Great Prep. If the surface isn't flawless then no LSP is going to impress. I recently did my son's GM Black with Poliseal then M21 and it looked fantastic.

Admittedly the surface was good to start as I didn't need anything more aggressive than Poliseal but even at that, the majority of the time was spent with the PoliSeal.

Scottwax uses Carnauba Moose as his "go to" product on Black but he won't cover anything that is not in great shape or prepped right.

Good point on $$. This is a daily driver that is basically outside 24-7, so I'm not going to spend a lot. Around $30 per item is basically my limit.

And I realize it's very subjective and have read all the threads on black, but I was hoping that with all of the people here that do detailing for a living and see a fair share of black GM products that I could get some specific feedback, especially if anyone has experience with the brown shade of black that I seem to have.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been thinking of getting the M21.
