Looking for some winter prep advice

I'd like to Dawn the car and start fresh for fall/winter. It's a garaged 01 VW GTI and it's in great shape-thanks to this place.

This is what I have, and I'd like to not buy more stuff.

Mother's Clay

Wax Shop QD

3M FI-2

3M HG

Klasse AIO and SG

Blitz

Plenty of MF's

Is this enough to give the paint a good pre-season once-over?

What steps/#'s of layers would you reccomend?

THANKS!

Yup, that's about all you need. I'd clay first and decide if I needed FI2. Use that if needed or skip it and go right to AIO. Forget the IHG, it's useless.

I'm not a SG expert so you might search out threads talking about SG application. Look at "detailing articles". But I'd think 2-3 coats of SG will do the trick. Blitz only if you want that look, otherwise skip it.

If you dont plan on layering more SG over the winter, then I'd suggest adding a layer or two of Blitz on top. Lots of road salts and dirt in the winter, and an extra sacrificial layer isnt going to hurt. Blitz lasts a long while during the cooler weather.
