Looking for MF towels ...

Hello all,

I am looking for quality MF towels. I am confused with all that's available on the market. I came across Chemical Guys and Sonus.

I heard you gotta pay more to get quality for MF towels. Is that true? (what's the deal with made in Korea vs made in China)

What do you suggest for drying? ( I use the vac n blow to dry 95% of the car so I don't need the most absorbent MF towel ... just something thick and scratch-free).

What do you suggest for buffing? I don't use carnuba waxes. Only sealants (Zaino).

I was thinking of SONUS' MF towels trio (2 green/2 blue/2white). Good call?

Thanks ahead of time !

I have used the blue towels from ADS for 4+ years now. No, they are not expensive. No, I have never scratched even the softest of clears with them.

I bought a couple of the more expensive towels on the market just to see what all the fuss was about. Honestly I noticed no difference. They did have a thicker pile so maybe for ONR washes they would indeed be better. I prefer a little less pile for polish and wax removal though. Seems to get a little better bite on the product and smear less.

Great. Thanks. What does "ONR" mean?

here is a excellent deal on some quality microfibers (just as nice as the boutique offerings) that are on closeout for only $1.50 each!

Not sure of the quality, but you can get a huge stack of 16x16 towels at Target for only a few bucks. Very annoying as I was buying these things at Autozone for $5/each. :wall

I came across them at Target. They were gray/white with an orange packaging I think. They looked great.

I am ordering products from Chemical Guys. I will give their MF towels a shot. They seem of great quality. I find it a bit illogical to pay 45$ for 6 SONUS MF towels.

Thanks!

I also just got a pack of towels from ADS. cheap, and great towels. Not incredibly plush, but a very nice overall.

Sometimes the super thick towels can just be a pain.

not at all, i still use mine all the time (different microfibers have different tasks). excellent quality and price = :2thumbs:

Sure wish we could get them at that price you found them for initially, BigAl. That was a steal. I can't seem to find the ten packs on Eurow's site anymore. Looks like they only sell them in three packs now.

Greg Nichols had a link to a new detailing etailer that had them in ten packs. I can't find the link to it right now though.

you ain't kidding, i would buy at least four packs right now. the Autopian effect took place and then they doubled in price and everyone and their mother comes out with similar ones and charge at least $5 a towel...
