NJ FORUM MEMBERS - I don't know if a place like this exists. With the winter months approaching, I am looking for an Indoor Self Serve Car Wash... a place which is totally enclosed from the outside elements. I like to wash the car myself.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Totally enclosed bay...climate controlled. A place where I can bring my wash bucket and waffle weave (and not freeze)

Oh. I've never heard of such a place around here, but maybe the East Coast has them? It seems like it would get pretty expensive for the owner, because all the heat would escape when you open the huge door to let the car in. Then it wouldn't be warm in there again until you were done washing the car. :nixweiss

My garage is that way :bigups , but I live in Erie, PA..

Hot and cold running water too.. so the nice soapy water stays warm.. I only heat the garage to 50 degrees so that I dont lose too much heat when the door opens.. and I dont leave it open for any period of time either.

Yeah, I think that's known as a "private garage".

No...yeah...no...that was directed at the thread starter, that the only "totally enclosed....car washes" are private garages. :think2

You need to find a service station that doesnt do work on weekends and will rent you one of their bays for you to wash your car.

You just have to ask......

Nope. I believe NJ and OR are the only two states in the US don't let people pump their own gas. An attendant comes out and pumps gas for everyone.

In fact, I don't know any self serve place in NJ.

Sure there is, there's a big one out on Valley Road in Gilette or Stirling...just before you get to Orphan Annie's. The only time I've ever tried to use it there was a two hour line (this was last winter after a big snow storm).
