Hey guys, I wanna try this method (I have my reasons) but I sure as hell am not going to pay that outrageous price. Curious if there are any other waxes that I can do this with? Anyone try anything of the sort with NattyBlue or something of that nature?

Perfecar has a wax coming out soon. The current beta wax can be applied by hand. Shoot Ben @ perfecar an email

I checked your reference and I think it means you want to apply a carnauba by hand.

My only concern is that you make sure the wax you choose is safe for a hand application and I think not all of them are.

Various companies may use various solvents and some solvents may not be bio friendly. Sometimes it takes very little of a chemical to harm your liver or other internal organs so don't gamble. The ones listing hand application would be safe for humans.

Victoria Concours as mentioned earlier is safe for hand application. 32 bucks Canadian for 3 oz with free shipping to the USA and Canada. Great wax, great price, great deal.

Worlds Best Wax is also safe for hand application.

The Worlds Best Wax came under some criticism a few months ago because of it's very unprofessional website and I was one of the guys that mentioned I'd never buy it because the site just didn't instill confidence in the product. Now I'm thinking I need to re-evaluate my earlier decision. Reports seem to be more positive.

They've since fixed the site so it's now better and they've been listing their 'Connoisseur' wax on ebay for $45 to $52.

They send a sampler of their cleanse solution and a microfiber or two.

Not a bad deal all in all considering it was listed earlier for near a hundred bucks.

I bought the world's best wax on ebay and received the sample of the pre cleaner.

Used it on my black bmw and was very impressed with the depth and shine.

.....a definite thumbs up!

Thank you all for your posts. From what I recall Victoria Concours is hard to get a hold of? What website sells it at that price?

My votes is for VW concours. its a nice wax to work with. It can be applied both by hand and by applictor (hand does a better job)

I know david, not to long ago, found a new server so you can order online now. Makes it much easier and quicker.

If you get the VW I would sugest getting the lite cleanse, it is not needed however it helps add to the depth and clarity of the paint, definlty worth the few extra dollars

I think it's Victoria Wax (velobard was right). I went there before posting that info and got the price and shipping info right off the website. The owner/shop/company/site is in Victoria B.C., just a few miles from me. If worse comes to worse, I could get it and mail it to you but you'll see the free shipping will be a bonus for you. And Canadian $ at that, so with the exchange rates, 32 Canadian is about 2 bucks American.

Get the 3 oz first, and you can always bump it up to a larger size later if you like it.

It's a clever idea to offer the 3 oz. size.

(The WBW on ebay starts at $45 so that's within your target $ also)
