Now I just want you guys to look at my product choices that I've made from the results I seen detailers getting feel free to give me good and bad advice on what I have chosing. I know theres probably alot more things that I forgot so help me out remember I'm mobile so I need sun friendly products.

Thinking of one of these two pad kids to start for my pc

1.The Edge Dual Action 6 Inch Kit includes The Edge 2000 DuraFoam Pads & a dual action Edge Adapter. edge foam pads, double side pads, polishing pads

2.The Edge Dual Action Starter Kit

This is what I had in mind to start with my rotary

1.The Edge 2000 8 inch Rotary Polishing Kit

"megs clay kit" - I wouldn't bother with a kit. Use your QD (diluted) or car-wash soap or ONR as a lube. "folex or woolite 8:1 for interior and seat cleaning" - get both.

"I need sun friendly products" - Poorboys and XMT lines. Get some Cyclo brushes so you can use the PC for carpets and upholstery. Alot of good quality microfiber towels! And on, and on, and on, and...

-Hi temp #710 wheel cleaner

-cd2 engine detailer or purple power

-any apc

You can use ONE APC to clean the wheels, clean the engine. Just go to wal-mart, buy 3-5 of their 24oz spray bottles and get different dilution ratios for different projects.

Also, isn't the cd2 discontinued?

I use 6" pads on the rotary also. I don't see the need for two sets of pads.

Do you have an air compressor? We use this:

HUSKY Dual Action Sander - H4790 at The Home Depot with one Cyclo brush. In conjunction with a pressure washer, it makes quick work of mats and carpets.

If you expect to do more than 10 completes per week, I'd talk to your Car Brite and AutoMagic ditributors, or Ardex, or whoever is prominent in your area... We like Automotive International, also. These folks will get you better pricing and service.

Tarminator??? Any mild solvent will do the same work, for much less $$$.

Good Luck!

Jim

Thanks JimmyBuffit I do have a air compressor its a smaller unit but will do the job I work as a painter/prepper now so I already have dual action sander like that ideal so I'm not using my pc

In that case if I use the 6" pads for everthing I would go with the kit that doesn't have the two sided pad.

I will check on those distributers this week because as soon as I got my final list I want to order to get my detail rig stocked

Stiffdogg06 I read a couple people giving places you might still be able to get the cd2 I was just crossing my fingers if not you already gave me other alternatives.

What is any bodies suggestion for one APC for everything with dilution ratios for different tasks

According to their website, Armor All Detailer's Advantage Tire Foam Protectant contains silicone. They advertise "50% more silicone".

Silicone can foul out CO2 sensors. Meguiars Silicone-Free Dressing or Detail King's Non Silicone Engine & Tire Dressing would likely be better choices for dressing engine bays.

I was going to use the original tire foam and thought it didn't have silicone thanks for the heads up thought I'll check into it before I mess something up.

zingyginger thanks for the links hopefully they got a big supply

I like your list!

Except for the edge pads. I'd go with ccs or some other LC pads. 6' or so.

Good luck!!

Thanks i would check on those pads been so busy working and trying to finish the build inside the van. I worked on it today for a few hours and real close to being complete so I need to finish up my list so I can make my order.
