I've spent a lot of time on customer cars recently and not been able to do much with my Peugeot 205. Plus, the engine died and replacement only just in but she's now 99.9% finished (not counting the "to be refurbed" wheels and a few other winter projects) so yesterday I gave her some TLC, having done nothing at all for nearly 3 months.
Car already clean but swirled following a quick QD wipe when last in the rain. Process;
- polish with SSR2.5 via PC/DAS green
- glaze with RMG via PC/Meguiars yellow
- seal with EX-P via PC/DAS blue
- Glass Meguiars Pro Glass Cleaner
- Wheels sealed with Carlack 68
- Trim B&B
- Tyres Meguiars Hot Shine via foam hand pad
I struggled with Nattys blue - direct sunlight and around 27 degrees and it smeared to hell & back and spit shining with OCW in sunlight - just didn't work for me and left grey spots everywhere. Didn't want to SSR again so tried PWC for the first time - superb! Removed the smearing and scratching (from foam hand pad?!) and left a smooth surface. Nattys regular wax has worked for me in these sort of conditions before although I did burn my hand on the sunroof frame - that's how hot paint was!
Anyway, then took her for a quick spin on my favourite roads - fantastic! Virtually no Sunday drivers and roads built for a small, ultra responsive hatchback. Found some spots for photos and tried some new photo techniques, then picked my 7 favourites and here they are!
