Long lost love (Camaro SS) Wants to return home. Dilemma!!!!

So as most of you know I have a pretty clean well maintained GTO with a host of goodies including a new Procharger setup. What most don`t know is that the only reason I had originally bought this car was due to a tough finical decision a little over 3 years ago forcing me to sell my pride and joy of over 10 years. My 2000 SS Camaro.







So the Camaro was a little less street friendly being swapped over to a built TH350 transmission with trans brake, 4400 converter, Moser 9 inch rearend, 4.11 gear, big cam, nitrous setup, NO A/C but full interior with stereo system and leather. Plus who can forget the expensive custom paint job I had done. Basically the car was a street strip car that I really couldn`t justify having at that point in my life. My oldest son was devastated when I sold it as he loved the sound and helping dad!





So fast forward to about 1.5 weeks ago while I was in Florida detailing. I get a message from the owner basically stating he is thinking of selling and wants me to buy it back. No major issues with it other than being dirty lol.

So here`s my dilemma. I can sell my GTO, buy the Camaro back and finish building it how I always wanted too and have more memories with my kids. And pocket a few thousand dollars in the process. My wife and kids are definitely on board.

Or I pass on my only chance to get it back and continue with the GTO. As of now I do have the GTO listed for sale but not sure how long it will take to sell. Really in a pickle here lol. Anyone want a gto pm me lol!

But you do know that Mass in winter ain`t gonna be that friendly to that car.
 
Sounds like a no brainer to me - the SS has memories and it`s a once in a lifetime chance to get it back.

First of all, congratulations! Lol it sounds like you played the right cards in the past and now you`re in a position to consider buying back your true love lol.

To me the Camaro is a "badder" toy car for fun. The GTO is awesome but I`m guessing a lot heavier. If you`re going to have a toy car, might as well make it the baddest one possible. And the sound of having thousands to pocket with a family is always best. Get the Camaro back and get those front wheels off the ground!!

Get your Camaro back, I`m fortunate enough to still have my first car, well truck, my dad`s first car and my first race car and junior dragster. I have turned down every offer I got on all of them, except my dad`s el camino, I`ve never received an offer because it`s a pile of parts right now. I know the feeling you have for that car, I have it for all of mine.

Thanks for chiming in guys! I guess having an attachment to a beloved auto isn`t that crazy lol.

Don`t get me wrong i do like my gto. Even more so now with the big procharger setup on it. But like I have told other people all along. I have never fell in love with it like I did my SS. I wanted one ever since they came out when I was in high school. I was fortunate enough to be able to work my butt off and purchase one. From there it got faster and faster.

Well now I just need a buyer for the GTO.

Its funny I had been thinking your GTO just doesnt have enough HP you really need to find something faster. :crazy:

Be careful with that beast, I already know you will be posting correction pictures next weekend. Oh Yeah and I guess congrats on your self Christmas present.

Ha-ha not so fast! Need to sell this GTO before I can purchase the ss back.

Oh and don`t worry it will be getting a serious correction and coating!
