Local brick and mortar shops for products

I am in OC and looking for any local places to buy many of the products offered at AG and Autopia? I purchase frequently from both many I need many items but their shipping is just outrageous when you only need one or two bottles of something.

In particular I am looking for Optimum power clean and Blackfire waterless wash.

Thanks.

not sure about out there, but will let everyone know that Advance Auto Parts has the Meguiars DUB products on sale for $5 a bottle all month of July, again. last time they had this sale I had never tried the iron removing wheel cleaner, but picked up 3 bottles and was very happy with the results for such a cheap product. cleans wheels very well, and removes iron at the same time. saves time and money over using wheel cleaner and ironx separately. highly recommend this product.

Well you won't find Blackfire locally. You can order from Autopia, Autogeek, Amazon and Detailed Image just to name a few online placed.

Locally you can find 3D distributors. They carry a variety of products.

By the way you can work with Autopia on shipping by ordering over the phone.

So you have to call to get the price for the actual shipping costs. So you are telling me that shipping is a revenue stream and for idiots like me who just order products thinking that you are paying the ACTUAL shipping costs we are not really. I knew there shipping was high. Just thought it was because they didn't get the best rates from the shipping company.

well, its not just the shipping you are paying for...

its the box, the tape, the label, the time to package it all, the time to let the shipping company know you have a package, the cost of setting this up, the cost of updates/changes to the website, the cost of fronting the money to have all the boxes ready to fill, the packing peanuts, the space to have the products on the shelves, etc...

still think shipping rate are absurd?

Just a reminder, listing an Internet Store (even with a brick and mortar presence and local to certain members) is like giving Autopia Car-Care's competition free advertising. Please refrain from posting URL's. Thanks.

Perhaps the rules thread should be updated to have something similar to what Autogeek states.

Just a reminder this forum is for products carried by Autogeek. If not carried my Autogeek there are other places to post your threads just please not here. Also please refrain from outside links in your posts, if you have any questions on the rules please PM me.
Please remember you are always more than welcome to discuss any products on Autopia Forum.
Thank you

I guess it could fall under this rule but even this is a bit vague.

Any thread or posting to be of questionable content or be moved or deleted by the Moderators or Owners of Autopia.org without notice.

My thoughts is that the rules just need to be more clear to help future members and existing memebers.

You're right Guz and the update has been made. I know the reference in this thread falls in the gray area as the local vendor goes by a .com name. This said, I'd like to make sure that everyone understands you are free to discuss any product/line on Autopia not just the ones Autopia Car-Care sells. There is however a difference between discussing products and giving other retailers the spot light on Autopia. We have many vendors that have earned their right to be here and any mention that comes along with supplying products to Autopia. That does not apply to every retailer. I hope this makes sense and doesn't appear unduly harsh.

Huh, I might've inadvertently broken those rules by directing people to sources (that I know about) for products that I recommend.

I find myself confused about this...

As the OP I am good. Gearhead sent a very nice PM explaining his position and not just deleting my post. I respect that and see his point. I was simply looking for a store to just buy one or two products and save some money on shipping. I see the point that the place mentioned also does internet sales and that would not be right.

Many apologies for violating the rules. Feel free to delete the entire thread if you would like. I won't be offended.
