I accidentally scratched my Clear bra on my Black G35 on a portion of it when I was close to it claying the panels. I tried some SSR2.5 on it and it helped but its still there. Is there a way to remove scartches on these or help them? Thanks guys.

I have yet to find a way to completely remove scratches from the clear bra film. My installer advised me to use an electric drill with a foam pad with a light polishing compound to remove them. I was able to make them less visible but was not able to remove them completely. One thing for certain do not use Meg's plastic cleaner or polish. I tried it on one of my door handle pockets and completely screwed it up; made it cloudy and was impossible to bring it back to clear.

This is a drawback to the clear bra. I am now wondering what the lesser of 2 evils really is; paint chips or the somewhat fragile clear bra. For what I paid to have them installed I could have each car front end repainted twice. I do not think I will have it done on my next new car.

original paint is always the best. Many times a repaint is no where near as good as the factory paint

this depends on the paint shop, I have seen horrible paint jobs, but my front pass. fender has an amazing paint job...orange peel and color match is spot on!

I thought Llumar didn't have the urethane clear coat on top like the 3M film does.

Not suggesting that removing scratches from 3M is any easier. It's clear plastic - almost all clear plastic scratches.

That being said, my 1 year old 3M film looks great. I suppose time will tell.
