Big Syd came over today with his wife's Tigra. The car has only covered 1500 miles, but Syd felt it lacked any real depth and shine, and the dealer had provided free of charge minor swirls on purchase too
here's the minor swirls, the pic was hard to capture...
So with Syd's requirements in mind, we set off testing the paint and recording the thicknesses.
a couple of areas to watch for, front wings, centre bonnet line
The car was de-swirled using Pinnacle Swirl Remover and a light cut four inch pad. (this paint was unusally tough for VX. A watch out for any follow VX details for future). The paint saw a real drop in depth, moving to a rich red colour.
Syd then applied a layer of XMT Finishing Glaze with Carnuaba using a finishing pad. I followed round wiping the haze off. I must say this stuff is brill, the paint took a real glossy look after this.
Next Syd applied a layer of DP Max Wax by hand, and I followed round using the PC to Spit Shine with Souveran! Yes, he did say he wanted max bling, wetness and depth.
Alloys were treated with Megs #20, tyres with Megs Endurance Deep Gloss.
And here she is, quite prob my wetest one yest!
thank you to BigSyd for a great day, hope 'the boss' likes her 'new' car :thumb:
