Little help for a newbie

Hey all.

My in-laws have a 2003 Altima in black. They park it outside so it is exosed to the elements.

Thing is, the wipe the car down everyday wit a towel, a dirty towel. No like wash t but just get the dew of the ca ror stuff. This has sratched the finish beyond belief.

They aren't gashes but scratches none the less. I have a PC I could use but what product would be best to try and remove them??

Any help would be appreciated. Sorry I have no pics of it now.

From what I've read you might want to try a swirl remover of some sort...I am not too familiar with brands yet.

My first post!

Two lines that are very user friendly:

The Einszett Polishes, and the Poorboy's SSR line. You can get the einszett stuff at the autopia store, and autogeek carries the poorboy's line, also take advantage of the coupon code "autopia" at autogeek.

I would start with Megs Swirl Free Polish, if that does not remove them then go to DACP, dacp w/ a cutting pad is very effective as long as you work it until it is clear. If that leaves minor hazing, follow it with Megs SFP.

Just going off of the description, here are the steps that *I* would probably take:

1) wash

2) clay

3) Poorboy's SSR2 with Meg's Yellow Pad, I would use the Maroon pad if needed.

3) Poorboy's Professional Polish w/ Caranuba with Meg's Yellow pad. OR Einszett Metalic Polish

4) Poorboy's Ex-P. OR Einszett Glanz Wax.

I would actually recomend just about any selant wax. You have to figure out if they or you will be maintaining it often. If not, you want a topper that will last as long as possible.

ALSO make sure that you talk to them about taking better care of the finish so that it doesnt get damaged like this again.
