Liquid on top of paste?

I have a 2003 mustang dark shadow gray metallic with a coat of mothers natural paste wax that i put on. im getting the liquid souveran as a bonous from jason at auto geek and was wondering if a coat over the mothers paste would give my dark color some extra "pop" or should i just give it another coat of mothers and use the souveran on another of my cars.im just not sure of compatibility issues or if the liquid might actually reduce the shine of my paste.thanks for your help

Liquid waxes generally have a little bit more cleaning ablitity than a paste wax. More than likely the use of a liquid wax over a paste wax would remove some if not all of the paste below it. You can always try it. If the appearance is pleasing to you then it doesn't really matter if the LS stripped all the other wax off or not. Looks are looks and it doesn't matter how or why it got that way sometimes. :p
