Happy New Year to everyone! I hope everyone has a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year! I was able to finally put the Fortador to the test and completely detailed two vehicles with it. The first was the Lincoln with an interior and exterior detail and a synthetic sealant. The Ram had a ceramic coating maintenance wash and reboot. Both vehicles, completely done....in 4 hours, about 2.5 gallon of water and a very small amount of chemicals.

Process:

  • Wet Steam rinse with chemical injection on entire vehicle.
  • Spray a pre-rinse on entire vehicle
  • Apply wheel/tire cleaner
  • Agitate wheels/wells
  • Wet Steam Rinse entire vehicle
  • Spray Iron-X (Lincoln Only) since Ram didn`t need it
  • Dry Steam to remove Iron-X and Dry (at the same time)
  • Lincoln - Synthetic sealant applied. Ram - Reboot
  • Treat tires and all plastics

Interior: (Lincoln)

  • Dry steam all plastics and windows.
  • Spray leather cleaner on seats and other leather surfaces
  • Clean all windows, door jambs, etc.
  • Apply a UV protectant to plastics and a leather treatment to leather
  • Vacuum all carpets
  • Steam and treat Weathertech mats

Happy New Year to you!!!
How does the Fortado compare to your old Vapor Rhino Steamer?
What is the manufacturer`s name and product name of the "chemical" you used with the Fortador injection?

By the way, what did you do with your old Vapor Rhino Steamer?
I only know about your use of it from your epic thread on cleaning up a chili spill.

Great work on these two vehicles. What was the ambient temperature like outside when you used the Fortador for steaming??
I am wondering if you plan on using this steamer outside when the temps are slightly below freezing (32°F) like you did with your old Vapor Rhino.
