I detailed a Blackwood this past weekend. Very nice truck, but bigger than it looks! The owner was happy with the resiults, but I wasnt satisfied. Sure all the pics look great but upon real close inspection there were many flaws that I couldnt get out.

Products:

DACP by PC on 6

VM by PC on 6

#16 by hand

Endurance tire gel on tires

No Touch Tire Care for engine dressing

Woolite mix for carpets, mats, vynil and leather

303 Protectant for vynil

Invisible glass for windows

Well take a look:

I did one of those trucks before and I have to say they are one of the most difficult trucks to have to detail!! Good work though!

Im not sure what it is about them, but I agree it was one of the hardest details Ive had! I bet I could do an Excursion in less time than the Blackwood.

Looks great!! What kind of pad did you use with DACP, cutting or polishing?

I used a yellow cutting pad with the DACP and a white polishing pad with the VM. Actually I should have used the rotary, or something stronger than DACP. But it got all of the carwash scratches (the truck looked gray from all of them) and light swirls out.

Looks AWESOME Chuck!!!:xyxthumbs Even though you weren't happy as long as the client was I guess it is all good in the end.

I really like those trucks and from what I understand Lincoln is getting a new pickup based off of the '04 F150 crew cab called the Mark 3 or 4 or something....should be interesting.

I've never detailed a Blackwood but can only imagine that that metal trim around the bed is a PAIN IN THE ARSE to work around.
