beleive it or not - this is a screen shot from the new Xbox 360 - need4speed is the game - all I can say is WOW!

Lots of buzz going on about those new systems XBOX 360 and PS3. cNet had a chance to take a look at them and did a pre release review but no actual gaming on them. Although I am an XBOX fan right now I think PS3 is going to have the edge in the long run being a tad faster but also having the ability to play Blu-Ray DVDs. I'll probably get the XBOX 360 though just for Halo 3, which is going to premiere on the day Sony releases PS3 (5 months after the XBOX release).

PS3 will not be as fast as you think - - they lost their plan for multiple cel procs - too cost prohibitive.
blu ray could be the winner for them though - if they can come in at 300 dollar price point and it functions as an HD DVD I'm sold
The good thing for the xbox 360 is the hardware is all pretty much standard in the gaming world - ibm Power PC proc, ati graphics - so ports are not that hard (read doom 3, quake 4, unreal 2007 !!) since the cel proc in the PS3 is new tech - coders have to learn a whole new way of writing - but that never seemed to stop games comingout for the ps2
Oh and the PSP is awesome (picked one up! )
