Yeah! My Frontier looks great! Really great to the unknowing, non-detailer type person. I should just get over it, I guess.

You can see in the sunlight, the light scratches. Yeah! I'm the guy that detailed it last Sunday. But; I see it.

I could go out right out to the mall, and look at 250 cars, and I bet, they would all have it much worse. This, however, bums me. I had the fear, too, that if I looked close enough, I could see it.

So; what now? Swirl Remover with a PC? :dontgetit I think, I will just forget it for now. 5 feet away, it's golden. Bullsh*t! :(

Swirls remover would be an option. Another would be a glaze to fill in the light scratches.
Do you use a PC already or do you work by hand?
Did you check to see that all your towels etc. were "scratch-free?" ie, no debris on the fibers, no dust blowing about when you were applying/removing the products, etc.
Was the finish scratch free when you finished detailing it last week?

I don't, personally, have the PC. This detailing was completely by hand. The Frontier is only 5 weeks old. I use MF towels, and I use no fabric softener. All my detailing is done in the garage. I clayed, I cleaned, and I waxed. I should grin. :beer_smil

Every little thing can be made right. This kind of crap has got to be the detailers worst damn nightmare! Ha! :beer_smil

Was it present after I finished last week. I don't know. It looked really, really good. It does now, too!! Just don't get too close. You all know exactly what I'm talking about!

Sounds like the afflection. OCD!! Dr. Feelgood says,"this can be treated."

Prescription...Take credit card(the one with the high limit) go to your favorite sponsor on this forum. Then buy everything. Once you recieved shipment try everything until you are tired then post your findings. Make sure that you post pic's.

Credit counseling is available for those that are a few products shy.

Also, Dr. Feelgood says,"This prescription is worth exactly what it cost."

All kidding aside your truck will have accidents. Just have fun keeping it looking as good as you can. The more you detail the better the results. I have spent way to much money on detailing. Yet I am not stopping because the vehicles need me to be shiny.

In time, if you get comfortable with a rotary, I'm betting that will substantially improve them with a polishing pad, a light polish and a fairly low speed. Now, once it's as close to perfect as possible, go out of your way to really baby the finish centering most importantly around washing ( can be very extreme if you wish): slick car wash, plenty of ultra soft sheepskin mitts and WW MFs. I can't stress the benefits of a foam gun enough also.
