License plate frames

So, this is about license plate frames. Personally, I like the solid ones that look like a picture frame. Mine happen to be chrome, painted is fine and even solid plastic is good when it matches the car. What I think looks really tacky are the frames the dealer puts on the car. It's free advertising for the dealer. I mean, you see a nice car on the road, it's five years old and it's still got those dealer frames on the plates. I think they are only one step above bumper stickers, at least they don't damage the paint (most of the time).

Then there are the frames with a message or joke. Like, "I saw the Grand Canyon" or "My other car's a Porsche". Tacky, tacky, tacky.

Putting a decent frame on the plates has to be one of the cheapest, easiest upgrades to a car. The license plates are actually a strong focal point of the car.

Gotta love em. Now if we only had the windshield banners... ;)

I'm with ya about having professional looking ones. I hate those plastic dealership plate frames. Those are major cheesy. I have a chrome one with 'Acura' written in sort of a script on it. It was on the car when I bought it. It got a little rusty so I used some ScratchX and AIO on it and shined it right back up again. I've got the Autopia plate frame on the Accord now and the Acura one back on the teg. Love those plate frames.

I Klasse my plates too, by the way. lol Obsessed...? I think not. Just detailed.
