Lexus Paint Code Location??

thinksnow

Supernintendo Chalmers
I have searched:

1) The base of the driver's side B-pillar.

2) The inside of the driver's side door.

3) The underside of the hood.

4) The engine compartment near the radiator.

I'm all out of guesses. Anyone know where this code is located?

It's this car (*edit* Sorry, it is a 1996):

Thank you--this is very frustrating:sosad

Your paint code should be in the driver's door jamb. I guess someone removed the sticker.

Register for the Lexus Owners website. The info you seek should be there already...At least the name of the paint on your Lexus should be there...Then you can use the chart below.

https://auth.owners.lexus.com/lexusowners/auth/ssl/OwnersLogin

If the info you need is not there, use the form on that website to drop an e-mail to Lexus with your VIN.

Here's the color codes for 1996 Lexus:

1996 TOYOTA / LEXUS

040 Super White

1996 TOYOTA / LEXUS

041 White

1996 TOYOTA / LEXUS

045 White

1996 TOYOTA / LEXUS

051 Diamond White Pearl

1996 TOYOTA / LEXUS

056 Natural White

PS, order a free owner's manual while you're there!

I looked again and the sticker is there, but the paint code is very discreetly listed. I found "P/T" followed by 051/24..." Not exactly listed for the layman, I guess. On the Honda and the Jeep, there is a sticker with "Paint Code" and then the number:D

Thanks for the link. I'll set my father up with that:xyxthumbs

Not necessarily:

from sherwin-automotive.com

LEXUS 045 BASECOAT WHITE 1996 - 1997

LEXUS 045 SINGLE STAGE WHITE 1996 - 1997

LEXUS 051 GROUNDCOAT SUPER WHITE PRL 1991 - 2001

LEXUS 051 MIDCOAT SUPER WHITE PRL 1991 - 2001

045 is also white for that year, although it's not pearl.

Anyway, in his case it seems to be 051.

Agreed. I recently agreed to do some paint touch-ups for one of my customers. Researched on the web where to find the paint code on the driver's side door jamb. Looked there on the SC430 and nothing. Everything you could possibly want to know about tire pressures and such, but nothing like the P/T or CRT (?) followed by the numbers for the paint code.

Research on Edmunds showed the 2003 SC430 to have White Gold Crystal paint color since it obviously wasn't the other colors like silver, black, red, etc.

Went to the dealer they had their car serviced at and he used records to look up the VIN and confirm it was White Gold Crystal 065.

The things we go through for our customers! :D

I should have been more clear, on that particular Lexus there has only ever been one white, the 051 diamond white pearl. They use different whites on different models, and I believe stopped using Diamond White Pearl altogether after 2001 in favor of crystal white.
