Lexus LS460L extensive paint correction, interior and wheel recondition and coating

This client reached out to me for his previous daily driver, a stunning and luxurious Lexus LS460L (long wheel base). He requested a full paint correction, wheel removal/cleaning/coating, Opti-Coat Pro on all paint and trim, and full interior cleaning and reconditioning. Wheels were also coated with Opti-Coat Pro. This job, like the car, was quite large and a great many hours went into it over the course of a week. To assist in the large scope of this job, Ryan was out again to lend a hand.

I didn't have a lot of time to document the paint correction process, so for the purpose of this writeup I am focusing the documentation on some other areas that usually get very little viewing.

I picked up the vehicle and this was its condition.

In progress. Each wheel took considerable time to restore.

Old wheel weight adhesive still to be removed

Welcome to the front wheels..........These took even longer to restore. Once the surface brake dust was removed, great effort was given to remove the deep staining.

The difference made by cleaning the back of the spokes in addition to the barrels (which still will take more work).

Deep RIDS to be removed

Base of doors had evidence of repainting, yet were very thin on material. Very careful work was done to remove the defects here. Go to aggressive too quickly and you may create a strike-thru.

The interior was pretty grimy

Driver's door handle cup area. Very badly scuffed up over the years. 100% improvement wasn't possible, but a substantial improvement was achieved.

Pillars were in rough shape as well but the turnaround was good.

Thank you for viewing

Wow - Stunning, beautiful, perfect, work !!!!!

I bet this Luxo-Barge had Never been Detailed, right ???

You and your Team totally Rocked It !!!!

And it is going to stay that way for a long time too !!!

I love Opti-Coat Pro for so many reasons - #17 - I never have to clean the 4 wheels with any wheel cleaner again - only car wash soap and a brush to get to the entire inner wheel and its done !!! No brake dust, no staining, just clean wheels all the time!!!

Thanks for all the hard work you and your team did here; lucky it was that easy to correct Lexus paint... :)

Client had to be Revived, right ??? :)

Love it !

How many total hours did that take adding up you and the help. That looks like one hell of a big job. My farther in-law has the same car in dark grey and treats it the same just a tool to him, never seen someone treat such nice car so badly.

Nothing short of amazing work!

Dan .... A question for you if I may based on your response.

I've typically use a sealant (currently Ultima Paint Guard Plus) on my wheels. The dirt releases much easier and I don't have to invest in dedicated wheel cleaners. I found that even with weekly cleanings, I still get my share of embedded brake dust that I need to remove with a tar solvent, Iron X Paste and clay before re-sealing the wheels.

Does the Opti-Coat Pro prevent any dust from sticking or would I still have to do that routine maintenance?

Wow!!! What a difference. I can't believe how badly some people can treat their cars.. Especially on the interiors!!

You did a great job. It truly is a stunning car.

How'd I miss this? I thought this was one of the ones you just did but then saw the date lol. Killed it my friend. Always keep the elite bar really high :rofl
