This past weekend I helped my neighbor detail a Lexus ES330.
-Nice car!

Process Used:
- Washed with Optimum Car Wash
- Tires, Wheels, Wells: A2Z & Poorboys APC to clean / Poorboys BnB to dress.
- Carpet was treated with Stoners Carpet Cleaner & vac'd
- Clayed: Optimum
- Polished: SSR2.5 / SSR1 (exhaust tip got PB PP - nice stuff!)
- Sealer: Wolfgang
- Wax: Nattys
- Tools used: Cyclo & PC.
- Interior dressed with Poorboys BnB & Spray-n-Gloss on the wood.

We didn't grab the camera until we were finished, which is a shame. SSR2.5 took care of some fairly significant scratches on over 50% of the passenger side of the car.

Here are the after shots.

Gorgeous!

Nattys looks terrific on that Garnett Red..very wet and shiny looking.

So Spray & Gloss worked on the wood, eh? Maybe I need to try that.

I like S&G on the wood better than VM. I have to give my neighbor credit for that one. It turned out pretty nice.

I wish we had more time because I would have rather sealed it with UPP x 1 and EX-P x 2. We'll do that the next time.

I'm a little disappointed that the photos didn't pick up the metallic. It really stood out in person. I have negative abilities in the photography department!

Here are a few more shots.

Is Lexus clear hard? We tried using IP/FPII on the trunk & passenger side (moderate / heavy scratches), and had no luck. That's actually the first time that I can say that about Menzerna polish -but I suspect it would have been a different story with the rotary.

We switched to SSR2.5/SSR1 and that took care of business.

SUPERB work!

I <3 that color. Saw it in person down in FL and was pretty blown away. Looks like a ripe, juicy plum :D.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

tsx2004 - Agree. If you haven't ever tried PB's your missing out on a fine line of products.

For me..... I'm still dialing in the SSR line of polishes, but I'm confident that I'll figure them out in time. It takes some time to figure out the right pad, machine speed, pace, use of mist (or not), etc, etc.. to fine tune a polish -or better said, to fine tune the person holding the polisher. Sometimes this process is enjoyable, other times it's frustrating. I know this..... I've learned a lot on the boards.
