What's the consensus on Lexol Leather Cleaner and Lexol Leather Conditioner/Preservative? Any god? A waste of money? Something better for the price?

Thanks in advance. :bow

From what I have heard, Leatherique is the best product for leather, but it requires much more work then lexol.

I have leatherique coming and if wanted, will post my thoughts on it,

It will be used on a 2000 M5 and either a 95 BMW 325i or a 2000 bmw 328i.

Lexol makes an excellent product. They've put alot of time and research into all three (Cleaner, Conditioner, Vinylex). They don't make products besides these so they focus all their attention on vinyl, rubber, and leather care products.

I've found that Lexol is a mild cleaner and is best used on a nearly new, lightly soiled interior. To completely clean grubby leather it might take a few applications. But to clean and maintain new leather, its excellent.

Leatherique is best known as a leather "restorer"; more for neglected leather than anything else. I'm sure their products work well.

I've had excellent results from Eagle One's leather care products. A more powerful cleaner than Lexol but very effective. Also, Pinnacle's leather care products work very well too.

Maybe the best thing about Lexol is its excellent availability at retail. Eagle One is also pretty good but the other two are mostly mail order only.

I've not tried other products, so I can't do comparisons, but I'm using Lexol and very happy with the cleaner & conditioner.

BTW - the way we learned about Lexol was from our shoe repair guy last year when we bought a set of leather seats for our 740 Volvo. He said it was all he would use on leather. :up

Excellent ! Thanks for the advice, everyone.

It seems like they are sound products. Since the seats are fairly dirty, I guess I'll have my work cut out for me. I'll also have to check on the tackiness issue.

Thanks again!

OG Upholstery Shampoo

&

OG Leather Conditioner

Nice stuff for a total of $18. !

The Leather is also used like Vinylex so you can knock off two birds.

I used Lexol for the first time this weekend, and I love it. Unfortunately, I used another product and it just did not work well on my new leather seats. So I ordered the Lexol kit from CMA, and I could not be happier.

If you wipe the seats first with a warm damp rag, and then clean them (exactly as it says on the directions), then applying the conditioner (exactly as it says on the directions), you get amazing results.

I have used other cleaner's and conditioners, and I have been pleased with the results. I can now say that I have tried Lexol as well, and the results are amazing. Eagle One also makes a good product. I would say that you can't go wrong with either.

Best regards.
