LEX GS interior question

Question for y'all. The '06 lex gs has perforated leather seats (for cooling & heating) and the leather on the seats seems to be different than what I'm used to dealing with. The leather on the seats does not have that "smooth, shiny" finish, it's more like a matte finished leather and not as smooth feeling.

Also, the dash seems to feel a little on the rubbery side and highly textured. The dash feels like if i were to run a terry towel across it lint would stick to the dash because of its rubbery feel.

Onto my questions, what product would you use on the dash ( I have vinylex & 303)???? What product would you use on this new type of leather (I have some smartwax/CG cream leather protector, Lexol and zymol creame)??? I'm really concerned about staining the leather since it doesn't seem to have that smooth coat and I'm afraid of clogging the perforations on the seat.

Thanks for the help

The same 303 as on the dash for the seats? Or is there a separate 303 product for leather? It almost seems as if the leather would soak up the product (damn I know there is a term for the two types of leather, one beads water the other absorbs it). I have not done the bead/absorb test as the car is still with the dealer.

I don't know if the leather in the GS is the same as the LS, but in the LS, on a brand new untouched car, there is a care tag that hangs from the headrest stating to clean it using a mixture of woolite and water, so I would go with that route first.

I own a 2006 GS300 with cashmere interior and I use Lexol cleaner and conditioner with no staining problems. On my dash, I use Megs Natural Shine then wipe it with a MF towel to subdue the shine. Both these products work great for me.

I have a 2006 GS with black leather, same perforated seats you mention. I mostly use some LeatherMaster stuff and it seems to work well. I also use 1Z interior detailer on them and it leaves them like new.

Seems to me I put some conditioner on a little heavy and just took a toothpick to the performations and everything was fine.

I noticed that the leather on Toyotas/Lexus (cept the LS460) is relatively "dry" and has a matte finish to it when brand new and as it wears, it starts to become shiny and smooth like other leather.

I don't exactly like shiny leather- I sorta prefer the matte finish instead
