Let the flaming begin! I used the Klasse Twins today on my new truck!

After many, many months of bad mouthing KSG I used it today on my new truck.

As I was going through my products I decided that the Klasse twins would be most durable and that's a big concern in post Katrina New Orleans. My truck is Arizona Beige (neutral color) so I thought maybe it wouldn't be such a PITA, besides I had some Sonus QD leftover too.

Well it wasn't so bad and it left a good gloss too. Not eye popping but pretty nice. Gonna give it another coat tomorrow, then I decided if I'll proceed with NB or OCW.

Guess if I could change my mind on the Klasse twins I'll be purchasing Jeff W products soon.

The Klasse twins are pretty nice. Don't particularly care for SG on black but I feel that way about most sealants.

How does the new JW Acrylic Jett look on black, is it similar to SG? Many sealants I've used, SG included, leave a silvery sheen that I don't like.

Why would anyone flame for that? I like the twins, but will be trying Jeff's products soon.

Because for many months ... actually years I've listed KSG as a "most dissapointing product". Durability wasn't a factor for me, because I waxed monthly ... but now after Katrina things are a little different.

ram,

Good question ... I'd also like to know how AJ compares to KSG physically. Is it also very thin and milky?

Can you use the WOWO method with AJ?

I haven't noticed the silvery sheen (really noticed it with SG though) but it does tend to have the typical 'wet glass' sealant look. Carnauba Jett, on the other hand, definitely darkens the appearance of the paint.

I might be new here, but my experience with "the twins" has been phenominal to say the least! In all of my years of using/trying products over the years, I've NEVER seen a product produce the results like "the twins". My car is Aero Blue and after using Klasse AIO and SG the paint literally "shimmers" and even more of the metallic comes out :bow IMO alot depends on the color of your car, the paints condition, how good the paint job is to start with, but I'd be surprised if theres anything out there that will WOW me to the point that Klasse AIO and SG have...anyone?

I will admit, I too was amazed by my first AIO/SG application on my Black Obsidian G35C. On metallics, try Z2Pro topped with Z8 for great WOW factor. On red and black (non-metallic) hit it with some Pinnacle Souveran. Different type of WOW.

It seems like SG is either a love it or hate it product. Looks like you went through both extremes with it. :o

It has served me well. I have put on three coats of KSG over a three month period, and am confident in the protection, which is good since snow has hit the past week in Rochester, NY. I use the WOWO method since I had a bad experience with trying to buff too much SG after letting it haze. All in all, it leaves the paint very slick, and shiny. The pearl in my paint pops, however, I'm currently searching for a carnuba to top the KSG applications with.

I'm no longer sweating the finicky nature of KSG.

I slap it on my whole truck fairly thinly, but I don't worry about playing with "eye dropper" amounts or breathing on it to see that I have a microthin coverage. Let it dry for 30-45 minutes, buff, and for the stuborn parts I apply a light coat of Sonus to remove.

Guess I might might be compromising the uncured KSG with the Sonus, but I'll probably end up with several coats of KSG so I got to get some protection. :nixweiss

I've one suggestion that I personally like and its Griots Caranuba Wax in paste form. Its 33% content, smells great and is pretty easy to work with. Another suggestion is a couple products that I've read here, P21S and S100 which is supposed to be the same as P21S but at half the price. The Griots product is $20.00 for 8 oz, the P21S is $32.00 for 6.8oz and I'm not sure about the S100. Good luck to you and BTW, if you don't like hard pastes, Griots has their "Best of Show" wax in liquid form and its 23% content.
