Just to let everyone know that we will becorrecting the cutting problem on the pads. Ive read threads regarding this problem and I want to correct the problem. They will be available in early 2005 and possibly some new pads added also. Lake Country is known for high quality buffing pads.

What was the problem with the pads? I use the cutting, medium cut and finish pad and havent had a problem yet.

Some people had problems with the pad cookie cutting. (cutting on the edge of the velcro. We will be retooling our machines to correct this problem.

Kudos to LC for the quick action. :up

This is why I like this board.

What other industry do you know where comments by a few users are picked up by the company to improve their product so quickly. I wish every time someone complained about a problem with their car, the auto manufactures would be quick to respond.

Can you tell me which pads this applies to? Maybe a picture or two? I just bought a bunch of Constant Pressure pads from CMA (www.properautocare.com) and wasn't sure if these were also affected.

And to those of us who have that problem, what steps should we take to get the pads replaced, if any?

Thanks!

Lore, I don't think it applies to CP pads, just the DA pads, especially the orange VC pad.

I've had four of these pads, and they've all done it.

Bufferman, the white pads don't do this due to the velcro going way past the backing plate and sitting on the same plane. The orange pad has a stepped design with the velcro the same size as the backing plate. Is the intention to emulate the white pad's design, because I think this will fix it.

BTW, although I dislike the stepped back design on the orange pad, I love the orange foam cutting ability and finish. Thats what makes it so frustrating. I go for the orange VC pad, then I think twice because of the cookie-cutting eventuallity.

I look forward to seeing the new design. Thanks for listening to our feedback. :bigups
