Lazy this weekend..tried something new

I was at a local auto parts store Sat am..picked up the new improved Eagle One polish-wax liquid. I have a black mercedes and really didn't want to drag everything out and "go to town". Applied this stuff with PC and yellow pad..immediately darkened the paint and the little swirlies disappeared! Pulled out the Liquid Souveran and put on a thin coat...shhhheeeesh! Beautiful! Looked as if I had spent 6 hours with Dacp, SMR and UPP! Couldn't get over how well this stuff worked for a cheap over the counter product. Went out Sun am and quickly put on a second coat of LS...looks and feels terrific! Anyone else tried this stuff??

Good to hear you liked the stuff. Eagle One doesn't get a lot of props here except for their wheel cleaner and tire cleaner. Too bad IMO, I've been using their stuff for 20 years and cannot recall a bad product. Unfortunately since they sold to Ashland Corp a few years ago they've lost some of their enthusiast following. But for a decent one step, Eagle One WET polish is pretty nice.

I'm not surprised. I think people here tend to go for the "boutique" products, and may do more work than is actually needed (This is not meant to slight anyone).

If your paint finish is in decent condition, then I would think a typical cleaner wax would probably work great. Probably even a non cleaner wax would look great, assuming a decent finish.

I regularly use Mother's reflections on my daily driver, as well as my wifes car. It does a great job, and I can wash/wax the whole car in less than an hour.

If your paint is not in great condition, however, then you do need to break out the PC and spend hours to remove the swirls/imperfections etc to get it to a good condition.

I guess that's what surprised me...my finish was a little ragged..not bad, but needed a little TLC..with the PC, the EO polish-wax really did a very nice job...surprisingly so. I even went so far as to do only half the trunk and called my neighbor over to see. It was very obvious where I stopped. Most striking was the color change and swirl removal...it was noticeably darker black and swirl marks were 95% gone! What a great little surprise...and saved me hours of work.

They sent me a sample of that polish/wax hybrid...I have been putting of trying it for 2 years now.....I think you may have inspired me!

just a quick questions tho.......WHERE ARE THE PICS?!?!?!?
