Latest detail vs. Strangest detail you have ever seen!

Tractor Detailer
This is a 2004 John Deere Grain Planter. It is pulled behind a tractor and plants any type of seeds (corn, soybean, wheat). The owner noticed it was getting filthy and faded. When a machine like this costs $40,000 keeping it looking new is a good idea. All I had to wax was the big flat areas, used something special on the rest.

Process was

Wash DG CWC Foam Gun

Dry with NC sun.

Color-X with rotary @1500rpm's wool Makita pad.

Majestic Solutions Spray Shine final wipe

Dress tires/wheels/frame with MS Poly dressing.

This was a super super fun detail, and I am supposed to be doing that tractor in the pics next week.

Looks brand new! and you even got the wheels and tires too. Great job, now the rest of the farmers are going to want theirs done too! Super:up

Sweet detail man. I dont live in an area where those tools would be needed, but I do occasionally drive tractors/crawlers (small dozers) at my Grandparent's campground. They dont have anything like that though. Does that tractor have A/C? I see it's enclosed.

Yeah, the GPS is for increasing crop yields in the field by accuratly placing chemicals and seeds and reducing fuel consuption due to overlapping in fields.

Color-X with wool and rotary worked great, no marring and great oxidation removal. Now color-x isnt going to last but about 2-4wks, but it looks good now and almost nothing else has the ability to remove oxidation.

Very cool Brandon, that is some serious detailing! I bet the tractor will be a lot of work but I know you'll have it looking better than brand new. Congrats on the detailing day btw, it looked like a lot of fun.

Yeah, I am a International guy myself (grew up on a 966).

I cant help John Deere is still made and Farmall isnt, damn that Case company!

Man i've spent countless hours dragging one of those through fields in my day. I grew up on a 500 acre dairy farm in Ky. My tractor wasn't near as nice though. It had A/C but only a tape deck. It was a 1982 John Deere 4240 with an upgraded turbo and the fuel pump cranked up...it was a hoss.

I'm a John Deere guy through and through. We had 8 tractors and 6 were J/Ds. Hell my dad has a 78 Cj-7 that green with yellow wheels.
